Services for Cecil C. Herring will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Elvin Sunds and Matthew Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mr. Herring, 84, of Meridian, died Sunday, April 4, 2004 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Delores Herring of Meridian; a son, Perry Wayne Herring of Meridian; a daughter, Claire Bea Herring of Atlanta; a brother, William P. "Billy" Herring of Winder, Ga.; and a sister, Dorothy Herring Best of McClellansville, S.C.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Moore, Steven LaBiche, George Walston, Bob Kelley and Mack Keenum.
Visitation will be Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

QUITMAN Services for Jessie Florene Spivey will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Stonewall United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lynn McRaney officiating. Burial will be in the Stonewall Cemetery. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Spivey, 72, of Stonewall, died Sunday, April 4, 2004, in her home.
Survivors include her daughters, Ronda Gale Spivey of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and J. Jelene Lewis and her husband, Jeff, of Stonewall; grandchildren, Sandy Phillips and her husband, Squeak, of Stonewall, Shannon Clark and his wife, Stacy, of Clarkdale, Justin Lewis, Misty Lewis and Justin Gunn, all of Stonewall; five great-grandchildren, Steven Ray and Sasha Phillips of Stonewall, Kayla Clark, Kenna Lee Clark and Karlee Raye Clark, all of Clarkdale; a brother, Gordon Kitchens and his wife, Gay, of Stonewall; a brother-in-law, Sonny Spivey and his wife, Glorianne, of Stonewall; a sister-in-law, Louise Mecca of Manitowoc, Wis.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Francis Ray Spivey; a grandson, Jeffrey Blake Lewis; her parents, Flora and Cessum Williamson, and David Kitchens; and a brother, Theodore "Big Bud" Kitchens.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service at the church.

MACON Services for Emmett W. Farrar Jr. will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church with the Revs. Glenn Miller and Jerry Zgarba officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Cockrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Farrar, 61, of Macon, died Friday, April 2, 2004, on East Mississippi Community College Mayhew Campus.
Survivors include his wife, Dr. Rita G. Farrar of Baton Rouge, La.; daughters, Melanie Farrar Millar of Jones, Okla., and Jessica Taylor Farrar of Baton Rouge; a granddaughter; his mother, Marion D. Farrar of Macon; a sister, Linda Farrar of Macon; one niece and one great-nephew.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
NEWTON Services for Nellie Perkins will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Newton County Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Perkins of Newton, died Saturday, April 3, 2004, in her home.
Visitation will be Wednesday 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial services for John W. Kappes will be held at a later date. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Kappes, 61, of Meridian, died Saturday, April 3, 2004, in Meridian. He was retired from the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his sister, Ella Edwards of Flowood; nieces, Marian Rowsey and Nancy Kreitzer; one great-nephew and three great-nieces.
Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Johnny Wilson, 39, of Stonewall, who died Monday, April 5, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
