Hedgemon promoted at Citizens National Bank
La Baron Hedgemon has been promoted to bank officer at Citizens National Bank.
Hedgemon began work with the bank as a customer service representative at the North Meridian Banking Centre in September 2002, and was placed in the officer training program in February 2003.
An honor graduate of William Carey College, Hedgemon studied business, communication and religion. While at William Carey, Hedgemon was employed by BankPlus and Bancorp South as a teller.
He and his wife, Shawnta, have a 4-year-old daughter, Alaysia Tionna. The Hedgemon family attends Freedom Rock Church in Meridian.
Meridian resident joins big enough clothes
The U.S. designer of children's high-quality European-style clothing, big enough clothes, has brought onboard Meridian resident Helene Johnson as a fashion consultant.
Johnson will schedule trunk shows with area parents to show off big enough's latest seasonal collection. big enough clothes are sold nationally by women who work on their own schedules.

New Meridian store sells shoes for pain-relief
Mississippians who suffer from foot, leg and back pain could find relief by visiting Spring Dings, a new store that opened March 1 at the Point Shopping Center in Meridian.
The store sells new footwear called Z-CoiLs shoes that feature a large steel spring in the heel that acts as a shock absorber, reducing the impact to the body that typically causes pain and injury.
The unique Z-CoiL spring, combined with a rigid, orthotic support and extra cushioning, helps alleviate the pain of heel spurs, plantar fascistis, arthritis, sciatica and more.

The office space at the corner of Eighth Street and 22nd Avenue is undergoing a facelift.
Jason Dudley, a real estate agent with Don's Realty, said last week that the space is being remodeled and is available for lease.
