Dietary clerk
Services for Nellie Osby will be held Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Van Williams officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Osby, 64, of Meridian, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was born on Oct. 8, 1938, in Jasper County to the late Wiley and Beatrice McMillian. She confessed to Christ at an early age at Hopewell Baptist Church. Later she joined El Bethel Baptist Church where she served faithfully. She served on the pastor's aide committee.
Nellie was married to Ozell Osby on Feb. 23, 1962, and they had three children.
She graduated from T.J. Harris Junior College in 1961 with an associate's degree. She worked as a dietary clerk for Morrison's Health Corporation at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center for more than 32 years. She will be remembered as a dedicated worker and a friend to all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Ozell Osby of Meridian; a son, Alphonso Osby of Bartlett, Tenn.; daughters, Odessa Davis and her husband, Jessie, of Meridian and Tracie Spivey and her husband, Terrance, of Moss Point; a sister, Betty Mae Showers of Gulfport; seven grandchildren, Delonzo, Ariel, Ryzell, Ashley, Damas, Zyrie and Terrance Jr.; four nieces, Peggy McMillian and Lois McMillian, both of Jackson, Alice Brown of Gulfport and Keisha McMillian of New Jersey; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, the Rev. James Osby and his wife, Pearl, Willie Osby and his wife, Gloria, Johnny Osby, Mary Osby and Barbara Adams, all of Meridian, the Rev. Jimmy Osby and his wife, Tina, of Tyler, Texas, and Algene Osby of Ohio; and several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Beatrice and Wiley McMillian; a sister, Bonnie McMillian; a brother, Arthur McMillian; and her mother-in-law, Mattie Adams Osby.
Pallbearers will be Doug Pigford, Larico Halloway, Jimmie Osby, Willie B. Osby, Johnny Osby and Algene Osby.
Visitation will be Friday 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

QUITMAN Services for Dorothy Dell Taylor will be held today at 11 a.m. at Stonewall Methodist Church with the Revs. Gerald Chaney and Lynn McRaney officiating. Burial will be in Stonewall Cemetery. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Taylor, 87, of Quitman, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth Taylor of Camarillo, Calif.; brothers, Curtis Tucker of Quitman and Paul Tucker of Meridian; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

DEKALB Graveside services for Odell P. Lunsford will be held today at 11:30 a.m. at Salem Cemetery in Boligee, Ala., with the Rev. Kenny Overstreet officiating. Stephens Funeral is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lunsford, 92, of Gieger, Ala., died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, at Kemper Home Place.
Survivors include her son, John H. Lunsford and his wife, Mamie; a granddaughter, Barbara Ann McCullers and her husband, Roger, all of Gieger; a great-granddaughter, April Lunsford of Birmingham, Ala.; a brother, W.P. Payne of Boligee; and a sister, Sara Overstreet of Forkland, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Lunsford.

BUTLER, Ala. Services for James Douglas Tyson will be held today at 1 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Campbell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Tyson, 35, of Toxey, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, in Toxey.
Survivors include his wife, Natalie Tyson; his parents, Bonnie and Jasper Tyson; a son, Levi Tyson; and a daughter, Rae Dawn Tyson, all of Toxey; brothers, John Tyson of Butler and Chris Tyson of Toxey; a sister, Connie Manley of Toxey; and his grandmother, Mary Johnson of Melvin.

QUITMAN Services for Claude Evan McDonald will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Shady Grove Church of God with the Rev. Donald Campbell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McDonald, 85, of Quitman, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, at Riley Hospital in Meridian. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara McDonald of Quitman; sons, Hugh McDonald of Meridian and Daniel McDonald of Little Rock; daughters, Delores Roberts of Union, Julia Hughes and Kay Covington, both of Meridian, Linda Redell of Mobile, Ala., and Sylvia McCoy of Marion; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Willie Jim Tingle will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Revs. Ray Luke and Mack Alford officiating. Burial will be in Henry's Chapel Cemetery in Neshoba County.
Mr. Tingle, 73, of Collinsville, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was born and raised in Neshoba County and lived there most of his life. He was a veteran of Korea and a member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars Carson Bound Post. He was a member of Meridian Masonic Lodge and a retired bus driver for Trailway and Gulf Transport.
Survivors include his daughters, Linda Ward of Collinsville and Lisa Sullivan of Philadelphia; a son, Jimmy Tingle of Brandon; his mother, Eunice Tingle of Philadelphia; brothers, Cooper Tingle, Sherrel "Hoot" Tingle and Jay Wayne Tingle, all of Philadelphia; a grandson, James Ward of Collinsville; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Ward of Rome, N.Y.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

NEWTON Services for Connie Ruth Laird Tisdale will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Hebron Baptist Church with the Revs. Steve Robinson and Roger Laird officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery in Little Rock. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Tisdale, 84, of Little Rock, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, in her home. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church and worked at Midland Shirt factory for more than 32 years as a collar closer.
Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Freeman of Collinsville and Ann Turman and her husband, William, of Newton; a son, Billy Laird and his wife, Mary, of Little Rock; a sister, Jackie Staton of Jackson; grandchildren, Margaret Mott and her husband, Richard, Kevin Laird, Deborah Sheehan and her husband, William, all of Little Rock, Rita Murphy and her husband, Brian, of Meridian, Steve Freeman of Collinsville, Gwendolyn Ann Turman of Newton and Bryan Turman and his wife, Lee, of Newton; three great-grandchildren, Zachary and Cody Steele and Emily Claire Mott, all of Little Rock.
