Jonathan Wells went out on top in his lone soccer coaching experience.
Southeast Lauderdale's baseball coach temporarily took the reigns of the school's soccer team on Friday, filling in for head coach Dwane Taylor in a 4-0 win over Clarkdale.
With a handful of exceptions, the Tigers controlled the ball for the entire game. Southeast Lauderdale's midfielders constantly harassed Clarkdale whenever the Bulldogs tried to break free, wreaking havoc on Clarkdale's offense before it could get started.
Trey Whitehead scored the Tigers' first goal in the 13th minute. It was all the scoring Southeast Lauderdale would need, but the Tigers got three more goals for good measure. Brett Harper gave Southeast Lauderdale a 2-0 at halftime with a successful penalty kick in the 26th minute after a Clarkdale hand ball.
David West dumped in a short-range goal in the 54th minute, and Austin Taylor sealed the win with a 20-yard strike in the 78th minute.
West's goal was the first of his career.
Clarkdale managed to create a handful of shots, but Tigers goalie Justin Clearman parried all the Bulldogs' attacks. Clearman dived and tipped away a Clarkdale header in the 24th minute and had another diving stop in the 31st minute on a line drive. Clearman also swallowed up a high arcing lob in the 35th minute.
Bulldogs goalie Blake Johnson also had several stops under pressure. In the 15th minute, Johnson out-leaped a Southeast Lauderdale attacker on a lob pass, then tipped the ball over the Tigers player to himself.

Lindsey Graham pulled off a hat trick to lead Southeast Lauderdale to a come-from-behind 4-2 win against Clarkdale.
Graham, who scored two of her three goals in the second half, helped lead the Lady Tigers back after falling behind 2-1 at halftime. After spending most of the first half defending their own goal and warding off the Lady Bulldogs' offense, Southeast Lauderdale rallied and spent most of the second half in front of Clarkdale's goal.
Graham's second goal tied the game 2-2 in the 52nd minute. Hannah Shirley put Southeast Lauderdale up 3-2 with a 20-yard lob shot in the 69th minute, and Graham finished her hat trick in the 73rd minute with a shot into the bottom right corner.
