River Oaks Academy snapped the Lamar School boys' soccer team's unbeaten streak in the second overtime period on a frigid Monday evening.
Mustangs forward David Callison tallied the game-winning goal two minutes into the second overtime to take a 3-2 win over the Raiders (5-1-1) at Grey Cobb Field. River Oaks improved its record to 4-2.
The Raiders overcame a pair of one-goal deficits in regulation play to forced the match into overtime.
Lamar midfielder Cameron Sherrill scored the home team's first goal in the game's 67th minute to erase a 1-0 deficit.
Sherrill sent a shot towards River Oaks' net from the left wing that floated over the Mustang goalkeeper's head. The ball bounced off the right goal post and into the net to tie the game at one.
The Mustangs quickly responded with a goal from forward Jonathan Scogin a minute later to retake the lead.
Scogin dribbled past a defender and slipped the ball past Lamar goalkeeper Matt Owen, who replaced Raiders starting goalkeeper Scott Owen with 19 minutes left in the match, to take a 2-1 lead.
Lamar striker Randy Boyd Thompson tied the game again with just over three minutes left in regulation scoring on a shot from 30 yards out that went into the upper-left corner of River Oaks' net to tie the game at two.
Scogin tallied the first goal of the game for the Mustangs in the match's opening minutes.
River Oaks midfielder Sam Herman sent a free kick towards Lamar's net from 45 yards out two minutes into the contest.
Scogin poked the ball away from Scott Owen and scored into an open net for an early 1-0 lead.
The Raiders continue their season at home against Copiah Academy at 6 p.m. Friday.
