DEKALB Services for Lula B. Irby will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Williams officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Toomsuba. E.E. McDonald Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Irby, 81, of Meridian, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include a son, Raymond Irby and his wife, Mary, of Meridian; 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and four siblings.
Visitation will be Friday 11 a.m. until service time at the church.

Services for Daisy Bell Hassell Mitchell will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Williams officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Mitchell, 84, of Meridian, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Velma "Hollie" Moore; sons, G.B. Mitchell Jr. and his wife, Pat, James Mitchell and his wife, Janice, all of Meridian, and the Rev. George Mitchell and his wife, Chasity, of Las Vegas; 26 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two siblings.
Visitation will be Friday 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

QUITMAN Services for Lettie Moore will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Little Zion United Methodist Church in Stonewall with the Rev. Washington McKenzie officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Turner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Moore, 94, of Meridian, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at Queen City Nursing Home.
Survivors include her daughter, Ethel Bell of Chicago; a son, George James of Meridian; 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
CLEVELAND, Ga. Services for Russell Mitchell Ramey were held Sunday at 1 p.m. at Barrett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Pearson Pardue officiating.
Mr. Ramey, 38, of Cleveland, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Survivors include his son, Shane Ramey of Jackson, Miss.; daughters, Reanna Ramey of Jackson and Ashley Nicole Ramey of Meridian; his former wife, Christa Ramey of Jackson; mother and step-father, Cynthia and LaVelle Hatcher of Rosehill; his father, Jerry Ramey of Cleveland; brothers, Chris Ramey and Jay Ramey, both of Meridian, Matt Ramey of Decatur and Stephen Ramey of Gainesville, Ga.
Retired Air National Guard base commander at Key Field
Graveside services for retired Air National Guard Brig. Gen. James Lee Bounds Sr. were held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. James Ruffin officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bounds, 81, of Meridian, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at Regency Hospital of Meridian. A career military officer, he was a veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Berlin crisis. As a colonel he served as base commander of Meridian's Key Field Air National Guard 153rd Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron and the 186th Tactical Reconnaissance Group from 1952 until his retirement in 1977.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Newell Null Bounds of Meridian; a son, James L. Bounds Jr., of Newton; and five grandchildren, Holly Bounds of Atlanta, Dawn Bounds of San Diego, Jud Bounds of Newton, Amber Bounds and Whitney Bounds, both of Meridian.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Karl Bounds.
Pallbearers include Ross Bounds, Sam Forbert, M.F. "Chicken" Windham and Sonny Williamson, Kevin O'Brien and Dave Koch. Honorary pallbearers were Lang Butler, Biffle Pittman, Dave Koch, Biffel Pittman, and Kevin O'Brien.
Hotel management executive
ATHENS, Ga. Services for Richard Cameron "Rick" Frazier were held Sunday, Dec. 7 at Lord Stevens Chapel West. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Barham Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Frazier of Athens, formerly of Meridian, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, in his home. He graduated from Dalton High School in Dalton, Ga., and attended the University of Georgia, where he was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. He earned a bachelor's degree in psychology. He later earned multiple degrees in the food and beverage industry.
He had been the food and beverage manager for numerous hotels over the years. He began his career in hotel management with the Holiday Inn in Athens and then became the food and beverage manager for the Ritz Carlton in Atlanta.
In 1991, he was the opening food and beverage manager for the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island. From there he went on to manage the Ritz Carlton Buckhead. Due to his vast experience and highly regarded reputation, he was sought out by the Sheridan Hotels and served at their Civic Center and Gateway properties. At the time of his death, he was food and beverage director of operations for the Holiday Inns of Athens.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; sons, Benjamin Cameron Frazier and Brian Alexander Frazier, all of Athens; his mother, Barbara Cameron Hamill of Meridian; his father, Ransome Frazier of Newhope, Pa.; a brother, Cameron Frazier and his wife, Amanda, of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a sister, Lindsay, of Newhope.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Robert "Bob" Hamill.
Memorials may be made to the library fund at First Baptist Church in Meridian or the Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library.
