Peavey honored by state's
World Trade Center

JACKSON The Mississippi World Trade Center has honored Hartley Peavey, founder and CEO of Peavey Electronics Corporation, with its Guy Tozzoli "Peace Through Trade" Distinguished Leadership Award.
Peavey Electronics currently distributes more than 2,000 sound reinforcement products, musical instruments and audio communication systems to 136 countries worldwide, and maintains manufacturing and distribution facilities stateside in Mississippi and Alabama, as well as in the U.K.
Peavey and keynote speaker James Bagley, chairman and CEO of Lam Research Corporation, also addressed specific problems facing Mississippi and the United States, including the growing trade deficit with other nations and the exporting of American manufacturing jobs.
