Voter registration deadline today

Potential voters have until noon today to register at the Lauderdale County Courthouse a necessary step before casting a vote in the Nov. 4 general election.
Lauderdale County Circuit Clerk Donna Jill Johnson said her office ended Voter Registration Month on a high note.
Johnson said voter registration drives at local schools, civic organizations and churches have helped this year's effort. She anticipates a "larger than expected" turnout at this year's November general election.
