Briarwood a busy place on day two

Golf is not the easiest of games.
Trying to whack a little white ball hundreds of yards and making it go long and straight can make for a long day on the links at times.
Mother nature certainly did not help the golfers in the afternoon flight of the Harry Lackey Labor Day Golf Tournament at the Briarwood Country Club on Sunday.
Play was delayed for about 30 to 40 minutes because of a 10-minute afternoon downpour that soaked the course.
While the rain didn't drastically alter how the 6,493-yard, par-72 course played, there was plenty of changes on the tournament's leaderboard.
Bill Hendricks and Jordy Hayden took over the top spot, shooting a second day 65 for a two-day total of 130.
Benjy Baskin and Stan Fisher, who entered the day in first after hitting a 63 Saturday, fell to No. 3 in the championship flight turning in a 70-stroke second day performance.
Robert Sanford and Billy McWilliams moved into second place in the top flight recording a second-day 67 to go along with their opening round 65.
Baskin said he didn't mind falling off the lead entering the tournament's final round today.
Despite recording seven more strokes than their first day on the course, Baskin said there were a few bright spots for him and Fisher in the second round.
Baskin had to take a drop for hitting the ball into the water on No. 8, but he made par, after Fisher scored a bogey on the hole.
Fisher came up with a clutch 30-foot putt for birdie on hole 15 to keep the duo's score down.
The tournament concludes today with rounds starting at 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
