Services for Dorothy S. Price will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Dr. Rhett G. Payne III and Robert Horel officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Price, 83, of Meridian, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and an avid golfer and bowler.
Survivors include her husband, F. Roy Price of Meridian; two daughters, Linda Parker Hardy of Anniston, Ala.; and Karen Parker James of Selma, Ala.; four grandchildren, Derek Dearman and his wife, Amy, Rachel Hardy, Ronnie Hardy and his wife, Carla, and Lee Henry; and three great-grandchildren, Olivia Dearman, Ryan Dearman and Kaitliyn Hardy.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold O. Parker and her brother, Ham Sanders.
Pallbearers will be elders of First Presbyterian Church.
The family requests memorials be made to First Presbyterian Church.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
UNION Services for Jeffrey Glenn Hitt will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Hickory Baptist Church with the Revs. Rodney Anderson, Paul Swindle, Ed Dickerson, Wayne Dickerson, Paul Oglesbee and Rick Benson officiating. Burial will be in in Hudson Chapel Church of God Cemetery with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hitt died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He previously served as associate minister of Union Church of Christ and presently worked as the work-based learning coordinator at East Central Community College in Decatur.
Mr. Hitt was the treasurer of the ECCC Administration, Faculty and Staff Association, and a member of the Mississippi Faculty Association for Community and Junior Colleges. He also was a co-sponsor of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at ECCC and was an active member of Newton County Ole Miss Alumni Association and ECCC Alumni Association. He also was currently working as the sports announcer for the Newton County Academy Generals.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Faye Henley Hitt, his daughter, Gillian Henley Hitt, his parents, Bobby and Geraldine Hitt, his sister, Alethia Gail Hitt, his maternal grandmother, Eunice Dickerson, all of Union; his paternal grandmother, Effie Mae Mitchum of Cumming, Ga.; and a mother-in-law, Faye Chesney Henley of Hickory.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Lynn Hitt.
Pallbearers will be Clay Barnett, Billy McCune, Dale Pattillo, Roger Whitlock, Ronnie Westbrooks, Scotty Russell, Chris Clark and Britt Harris. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the ECCC Alumni Association and Newton County Ole Miss Alumni Association.
Visitation will be today from 4 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Richard McQuarley will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church on 49th Avenue with the Rev. Dr. Zachary Operton officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery with Berry &Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McQuarley, 39, of Meridian, died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, at The Regency Hospital of Meridian.
Survivors include his wife, Stacy McQuarley, his daughter, Ashley McQuarley and his son, Richard McQuarley, his mother, Adline Hanible, his father, Leonard Hanible, all of Meridian; five sisters, Lois McQuarley of Stockbridge, Ga.; Sharon McQuarley, Hattie McQuarley, Margaret McQuarley and Barbara Crowell, all of Meridian; four brothers, Anthony Hanible, Darren McQuarley, Jonathan Hanible, and Willie McQuarley, all of Meridian; and a special friend, Alecia Moore of Meridian.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at Berry &Gardner Funeral Home for Lessie Hunter, 79, of Meridian, who died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, at Guardian Angel Hospice.
