COLUMBIA, S.C. Services for Bette Williams Allday will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Ravenwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Allday, 75, of Columbia, died Friday, June 13, 2003. Born in Chunky, Miss., she was the daughter of the late Robert Rae and Bernice Tillman Williams. She earned an associate degree from Columbia Bible College and was a charter member of Ravenwood Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.
Survivors include her daughter, Virginia "Ginny" Honea and her husband Thomas "Tom," of Fairview, N.C.; a son A.G. "Greg" Allday and his wife, Marian, of Beckley, W.V.; four grandchildren, Amy Webb, Matthew Allday, Stephen Webb and Andrew Allday; sisters, Bobbye W. Munn of Columbia and Alyce W. Warner of Meridian, Miss.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Annie Laura McGee; her husband, Arthur Thomas Allday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Ravenwood Baptist Church, 3545 Raven Hill Road, Columbia, S.C. 29204 or to the Hospice Care of Tri-County, 111 Executive Point Blvd., Columbia, S.C. 29210. Condolences may be made to www. AmericanMemorials.com.
Visitation will be held today from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel.
Retired LPN
Services for Gladys L. Martin will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Moulton Baptist Church in Moulton, Ala., with the Rev. Wood officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Martin, 83, of Meridian, died Thursday, June 12, 2003, in Meridian.
Survivors include four daughters, Darthie Riggs and her husband, Bill of Pompano Beach, Fla., Mary Thompson of Meridian, Janice Hall and her husband, Jim, of Oklahoma City and Kathy Busby and her husband Mark, of Meridian; one brother, Earl Brewer of Decatur, Ala.; one sister, Pauline Overton of Double Springs, Ala.; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Martin and a son, Joseph Cecil Martin.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for Bobbie N. Crawford will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery.
Mrs. Crawford, 77, of Killeen, Texas, died Wednesday, June 11, 2003, in Temple, Texas.
Visitation will be held Monday two hours prior to service at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Ophia Blanton Fulton, 83, of Collinsville, who died Friday, June 13, 2003, at her residence.
Arrangements were incomplete at Stephens Funeral Home for Roy T. Burroughs, 68, of Preston, who died, Friday, June 13, 2003, at Heartfelt Hospice.
