Graveside services for Narlee Harrison Brooks were to be held today at 10 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Garden Cemetery with the Rev. Thomas Wood officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Brooks, 79, of Meridian, died Sunday, June 8, 2003, in Meridian. She was a member of State Boulevard Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Ila Ann Brooks McKee and her husband, Doyle, of Meridian; grandsons, Chris McKee and his wife, Stacy, and Kelly McKee and his wife, Kelly; a great-granddaughter, McKenzie McKee; a sister, Ivonne Hodgins and her husband, Max, of Meridian; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Howard Brooks; and a sister, Elaine Harrison Pittman.

Graveside services for Margaret Erline Barker will be held today at 11:30 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with the Rev. John Novick officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Barker, 92, of Petal, died Sunday, June 8, 2003, at Bedford Care Center in Petal.
Survivors include her daughter, Patsy Taylor and her husband, Jim, of Hattiesburg; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Minnie Hartley of Rockwell, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carson E. Barker.

QUITMAN Graveside services for Irene Herrington Cooley will be held today at 3 p.m. at Twistwood Cemetery with the Rev. Keith Bogan officiating. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Cooley, 80, of Rose Hill, died Saturday, June 7, 2003, at Jasper General Hospital in Bay Springs.
Survivors include her husband, O.F. Cooley Jr. of Rose Hill; daughters, Patsy Chapman and her husband, George, of Thomasville, Ala., and Cheryl Reynolds and her husband, Alex, of Rose Hill; sons, Don Cooley and his wife, Gloria, of Rose Hill, O.F. Cooley III and his wife, Sandy, of Hattiesburg; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Evans and Minnie Lee Hicks, both of Rose Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Thelma Herrington; and a sister, Lorene Lewis.

Services for Joseph H. Troutman will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Otis Seal officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Troutman, 76, of Meridian, died Sunday, June 8, 2003, in Meridian. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was also a Mason.
Survivors include his daughters, Gail Miller and Mitzie Troutman, both of Meridian; a son, David Reed and his wife, Betty, of Meridian; grandchildren, David Wayne Reed and his wife, Marcie, Amy Wilson and her husband, Carl, Adrienne Miller and Keith Reed; great-grandchildren, Josh Wilson, Dillon Wilson, Josh Reed, Brittany Reed and Ashley Reed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Troutman; and a grandson, Randy Reed.
Pallbearers will be Ray Wilson, Jimmy Maggard, Kenny McGowin, Jimmy Johnson, Stan McDonald and Ray Burton.
Visitation will be today today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Helen Marie Purvis will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Chisolm officiating. Burial will be in Cokers Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Purvis, 64, of Meridian, died Sunday, June 8, 2003, in Meridian. She was a member of Central Baptist Church where she was active in the music program.
Survivors include her husband, William Harold Purvis of Meridian; a step-son, Billy Purvis of Nashville, Tenn.; sisters, Doris Keahev of Quitman, Elaine Staudt of El Paso, Texas, Bobbie Fay Northcutt of Meridian, Betty Milstead of Stonewall and Mary Ann Lowe of Chester, Va.; a brother, Tom Goree of Saucier; three nieces and six nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Ann and Wesley Goree of Quitman; and five brothers.
Memorials may be made to the choir at Central Baptist Church of Meridian.
Pallbearers will be Robert Taylor, David Goree, Don Boswell, Mike Gay, Dane Pool and Bobby Milstead.
Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the sanctuary choir of Central Baptist Church.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for David Ronald Potate will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Temple First Baptist Church in Temple, Ga. with the Rev. Larry Boswell officiating. Burial will be in Ashbury Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Potate, 61, of Meridian, died Monday, June 9, 2003, at Guardian Angel Hospice.
Survivors include his sons, Michael Wayne Potate and Tommy Potate, both of Meridian; a daughter, Teresa Hambrick of Gardendale, Ala.; sisters, Gail Keith and her husband, Doug, of Douglasville, Ga., Peggy Dunaway and her husband, Cannon, of Santa Rosa, Fla., Sandra Horton and her husband, John, of Center, Ala.; a brother, Larry Potate and his wife, Polly, of Temple, Ga.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home in Meridian and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
