A Meridian man remained in the Lauderdale County jail today after being arrested in connection with an armed robbery at the Dixie Gas Station on North Hills Street.
The robbery happened on April 10.
Whitney Bell of 2801 26th Ave. was arrested May 3. His bond is set at $75,000. Bell's arrest is the third in connection with the case.
Darekus Rush, arrested April 15, and Palenereo Bell, arrested April 14, are also being held at the Lauderdale County jail.
Capt. Betty Evans of the Meridian Police Department said investigators believe the two men entered the gas station with their faces covered. She said they were carrying guns and demanded money.
A clerk noted the suspects' license plate number as they drove away from the store. Evans said the vehicle they were driving was stolen.
