Services for Demetries Pruitt will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Pruitt, 19, of Quitman died Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at the University Hospital in Jackson.
Survivors include his mother, Shirley Pruitt and his father, Willie Carter, both of Quitman; two sisters, Brenita Pruitt and Shakerri Pruitt, both of Quitman; and two brothers, Demarcus Pruitt and Sicorian Smith of Quitman.
Visitation will be Monday one hour before the service at the church.
Graveside services for W.F. "Dub" White will be held Monday at 2 p.m with the Rev. Steve Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. White, 87, of Meridian died Saturday, April 26, 2003 at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie M. White of Meridian; a daughter, Joyce White Arrington of Meridian; two grandchildren, Tammy Johnson and her husband, Cody and Tommy Ainsworth and his wife, Shannon; two great grandchildren, Wyatt Ainsworth and Jessica Crevitt; and a sister, Truma Chatam and her husband, Wade of Birmingham, Ala.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Foundation, care of Horison Hospice at P.O. Box 35, Decatur, Miss. 39327.
Visitation will be Monday from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the cemetery.
QUITMAN Services for Mary Ellen Goodwin Dumas will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Little Zion Methodist Church in Stonewall with the Rev. Jerry Lee Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Berry &Gardner Funeral Home of Quitman in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Dumas, 70, of Stonewall, died Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at her home.
Survivors include her husband, David Dumas of Stonewall; six children, Freddie, Al, and Donna Dumas, all of Stonewall, Ricky Dumas of Racine, Wisc., Franetta Cammon and her husband, Eddie, and Charlotte Harris and her husband, Henry, both of Tacoma, Wash.; nine grandchildren; six brothers, Robert Goodwin of Stonewall, Charles Goodwin and his wife, Betty, John Goodwin and his wife, Shirley, Bennie Larry Goodwin, Jerry Lee Goodwin and his wife, Lorraine, and Darnell Goodwin, all of Racine; six sisters, Lucy Jane Itson, and Emma Moss and her husband, Mose, all of Stonewall, Joan Henry and her husband, Johnny, of Poplarville, Jean Boutwell and her husband, Euwana, Shirley Oliver and her husband, Joe, and Alma Donald, all of Racine.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Wayne; five brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be Monday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for Leo Walk will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Baylor officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Berry &Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Walk, 66, of Meridian, died Thursday, April 24, 2003, at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Walk, a daughter, Valerie Walk, a son, Leo Walk Jr., a sister, Laura Walk, a brother, Leon Walk, a granddaughter, Atrill Walk and a grandson, Jordan Walk, all of Meridian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arzie B. and Cliff Walk, and a sister, Mary E. Walk.
Visitation will be Monday from 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
