Williams, Salter

Kristin Brooke Salter and Raymond Elijah Williams, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at First Baptist Church of Marion with the Rev. Steve Jordan officiating.
Parents of the couple are Larry and Sherry Salter, Steve Williams, and Michael and Sharon George, all of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are Charles Lowery and the late Dorothy Lowery, and the late William "Bill" and Estelle Salter of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Evelyn White of Marion and the late Raymond White, R.E. and Clarice Williams, and Glenn and Geraldine George, all of Meridian.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Mary Jordan, pianist; Chris Harper and Rebekah McKay, vocalists.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an ivory gown of silk satin. The gown featured a strapless bodice and an A-line skirt which featured side pleats. She wore an elbow-length veil which was accented with trim of satin piping.
Maid of honor was Morgan Salter of Meridian, sister of the bride.
Logan Williams of Meridian, nephew of the bridegroom, served as best man.
A reception was held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony.
Assisting at the reception were Kay Joiner, Teresa Church, Jeff Church, Sharon Keene, Jennifer Wilson and Kelly McNair.
