Services for Charles R. Anderson will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at New Canaan Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley Coleman officiating. Burial will be in Unity Spring Cemetery in DeKalb with Berry &Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Anderson, 48, of Meridian, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Anderson; three daughters, Stacy Sillman and her husband, Arthur, Tonya Jones and Sharonica Anderson; two sons, Taurus Anderson and his wife, Santa, and Charles Anderson Jr., all of Meridian; three sisters, Annie Kelly and Sandra Anderson, both of Ocean Springs, and Glenda Tyals of Texas City, Texas; five brothers, Roosevelt Anderson, Douglas Anderson, Jeffrey Anderson and Keith Alford, all of Meridian and Jerome Anderson of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Anderson and Annie L. Anderson and two brothers.
Visitation will be today from 8:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. Services for Shelly Wooten Jr., will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home with the Rev. Archie Barringer officiating. Burial will be in Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery with full military honors.
Mr. Wooten, 78, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at his home. He was a retired U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War having served as Sergeant First Class. He was an employee of Rogers and Breece Funeral Home for more than 50 years. He was an avid harmonica player.
Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Matthews of Doe Run Cove, Ark., Martha Whitehead of Stedman, N.C., and Phyllis Moore of Fayetteville; a son, Michael Wooten of Savannah, Ga.; and 13 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
