PHILADELPHIA Services for Don T. McAdory Sr. will be held today at 3 p.m. at John E. Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Charles Rhodes and Ricky Wilcher officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mr. McAdory, 68, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine McAdory of Philadelphia; daughters, Gay Flake and Patty Killens, both of Union, and Dean Eaves of Philadelphia; sons, Thomas McAdory Jr. and Andy McAdory, both of Philadelphia; sisters, Maudean Sanders of Union and Dianne Kirkpatrick of Philadelphia; brothers, Dan McAdory of Union, Bobby McAdory, H.D. McAdory, Richard McAdory and Jon McAdory, all of Philadelphia; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Tiffany McAdory.

Services for Bryant Stevens Jr. will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jimmy Williams and Keith Woody officiating. Burial will be at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery in Bailey.
Mr. Stevens, 72, of Bailey, died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was a retired drilling supervisor and water well services. He loved fishing and woodworking. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Woody Stevens of Bailey; a daughter, Darlene Mayatt and her husband, Rick, of Anderson, Ind.; a son, Rickey Stevens and his wife, Laura, of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Bryant Gunn, Leah and Don Blackwell of Meridian, Samuel Stevens and Holly Stevens, both of Philadelphia; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Rufus Stevens and his wife, Mary, of Chunky; and a sister, Elouise Rickles and her husband, James, of Meridian.
He was preceded in death by his son, Woodie Stevens; and a sister, Francis Bishop.
Pallbearers will be William Lewis Wilson, Vester Miles, Charles Haguewood, Jeff McKee, Raiford Temple and Samuel Stevens.

YORK, Ala. Services for Marguerite Dixon Jones will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Grant McLain and Willie Crawford officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Pineapple, Ala. at 2:30 p.m.
Mrs. Jones of York, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at Sumter Health and Rehab Center in York. She worked as a teacher in the Alabama Public School System for more than 25 years. During her teaching career, she was noted for her kindness toward her students, especially the cheerleaders, because she served as their sponsor for many years. She retired in 1964 and was active in both civic and community service.
Survivors include her husband of more than 66 years, Sam Watts Jones; a niece, Lib Hicks, and a nephew, James Dixon, both of Dixon Mills, Ala.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
Pallbearers will be family friends, Buddy McElroy, Bobby Dale Ezell, Sam Massingill, Carl McDonald, Ronnie Beard, Rhodes Taylor, Johnny Bell and John Nichols.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the York Baptist Church Joy Sunday School Class and the cheerleaders she sponsored during her teaching career.
Pallbearers at the graveside ceremony will be Clyde Stanford, Melvin Stanford, Hal Grimes, Claude Ezell, William Norred, Wiley Stanford, and Dr. Jimmy Faulkner.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends of the family.

MACON Services for Kate Eaves will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Shuqualak United Methodist Church with the Revs. Don Stampley and Del Blackmon officiating. Burial will be in Shuqualak Cemetery. Cockrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Eaves, 83, of Shuqualak, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at Kemper Homeplace Nursing Facility.
Survivors include her sons, David Eaves and his wife, Marie, of Lucedale, Gilbert Eaves and his wife, Annette, of Macon and Glenn Eaves and his wife, Pam, of Ft. Worth, Texas; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brothers, Dallas Boone of Cantonment, Fla., and Howard Kellis Boone of Baltimore; and three very close friends, Glenda Coleman, Honey Combs and Syble Coker, all of Shuqualak.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, four brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be held today 6:30 p.m.-8:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Merit Jefferson Jr. will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Pachuta with the Rev. Keith Brinson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jefferson, 56, of Pachuta, died Monday, April 7, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
