Texas man charged with cocaine trafficking

Jose Jubencio Barba of Edinburg, Texas, was being held Thursday night in the Sumter County jail in Alabama, charged with trafficking cocaine. His bond was set at $1 million.
Barba's Volkswagen Golf was pulled over Wednesday for a minor traffic violation along Interstate 20/59 in Livingston. During a routine traffic stop, Livingston law enforcement officers found 17 kilos of cocaine in his car.
The cocaine's street value is estimated at over $2 million.
