Two questioned in weekend death

Two men were being held today for questioning regarding the death of William Gill, 23, of Suqualena-Meehan Road, whose body was found along a highway on Saturday.
Major Ward Calhoun with the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department said the two men have not been charged with any crime. A press conference regarding the death is scheduled for later today; Calhoun has called the death a homicide.
Gill was found on the side of the road early Saturday near the intersection of Highway 496 and Highway 19 South. Calhoun said the cause of death was a gun shot wound.
