PHILADELPHIA Services for Mary Charles Spears will be held today at 2 p.m. at Friendship Assembly of God on Highway 19 South, with the Revs. C.M. Jinkerson and Daniel Richardson officiating. Burial will be in New County Line Cemetery in Edinburg. McClain-Hays Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Spears, 65, of Carthage, died, Tuesday, March 11, 2003, in her home.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Joyce Hall and Charlotte Adams, both of Carthage, and Pamela Marline Puckett of Porterville; a son, Jonathan Spears of Snellville, Ga.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles E. Swain of Philadelphia, Alvin Swain of Oil City, La., and Herman Swain of Texas City, Texas; and a special friend, Joe Mason of Philadelphia.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
UNION Services for James Donald "Don" Ferguson will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Smyrna Baptist Church in Union with the Revs. Scott Boatner and Terry Oswalt officiating. Burial will be in Ferguson family cemetery in Hickory. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ferguson, 34, of Union, died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, in the Good Hope Community.
Survivors include his parents, the Rev. Bobby and Betty Ferguson of Union; daughters, Kimberly Sue and Krystal Lanea Ferguson, both of Madison; a son, Kenneth James Ferguson of Madison; a sister, Susie Lockey of Union; brothers, David Ferguson of Hickory and Mark Ferguson of Union; four nephews and three nieces.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Retired school bus driver
PHILADELPHIA Services for Pauline P. McCrory will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Danny Purser officiating. Burial will be in Neshoba Baptist Cemetery.
Mrs. McCrory, 73, of Union, died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at Riley Hospital in Meridian.
Survivors include her daughters, Dianne M. Williams and Mary Gayle Agent, both of Philadelphia; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Peterson of Jackson and Claudia Hines of Lake; and a close friend, Bill Lawson of Union.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Elev Manning will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Elizabeth Baptist Church in Quitman with the Rev. J.R. Jennings officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Manning, 75, of Quitman, died Monday, March 10, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include his daughters, Evelyn Clark of Columbus, Ohio, Alice Thomas and her husband, Chester, and Martha Goree and her husband, Stan, all of Meridian, Veola Peters and her husband, Leon, of Augusta, Ga., Beverly Hearns of Birmingham, Ala., Pamela Manning of Nashville and Michelle Lowe and her husband, Thomas, of Jackson; two sons, Donnie R. Hearn of Deepwater, W.Va., and Eddie R. Hearns and his wife, Donna, of Yazoo City; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez H. Manning; and a daughter, Alma Louise.
Visitation will be Friday 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Assistant principal at Kate Griffin Junior High School
Graveside services for Eleanor Dixon Fluker will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Cemetery on Arundel Road with the Rev. Ozell Colburn officiating. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Fluker, 43, of Meridian, died Saturday, March 8, 2003, at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include her children, Danielle Dixon and Daniel Dixon, both of Meridian; sisters, Jacqueline Johnson and Sheila Dixon, both of Detroit; a brother, Edward Dixon of Jackson; her mother, Rosie Pearl Dixon of Meridian; an uncle, aunt and a cousin.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Dixon.
Visitation will be Friday 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
