The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department was investigating today a string of overnight dumpster fires in
southeast Lauderdale County.
Maj. Ward Calhoun, the department's spokesman, said the
first green box was set on fire at Mt. Horeb Road about 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
Calhoun said two other nearby dumpsters in Vimville were
set ablaze about an hour later.
Calhoun said the string of fires is also under investigation by the Vimville and Long Creek volunteer fire departments.
Anyone with any additional information on the fires is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 917-8888.
