Brown, Burks

Ashley Burks and Jesse Brown, both of Collinsville, were married Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at First Baptist Church of Collinsville with the Rev. Hal Bates officiating.
Parents of the couple are Willis and Kay Burks and Dan Brown, all of Collinsville, and Debbie Todd of Chunky.
Grandparents of the bride are June Killen Adcock and Sennett Killen, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Burks.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Todd, Rubye Brown and the late Harold Brown.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Kerri Burks, pianist; Allen Sims and Jinny Parker, vocalists.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an embroidered organza A-line gown featuring a beaded bodice and satin ribbon hemline. Her veil of silk illusion was anchored by a pearl and crystal tiara.
Lindsey Burks, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Other attendants were Shea Lockley and Courtney Hatcher, both of Meridian. Greyson Herring of Philadelphia served as flower girl.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Austin Brown of Chunky, Phillip Garrett of Meridian, Matthew Burks of Philadelphia and Jacob Garrett of Meridian. Taylor Todd of Hickory served as ring bearer.
Program attendants was Danielle Smith.
A reception was held in the church family life center following the ceremony.
Assisting at the reception were Elizabeth Woodall, Mindy Espey, Brandi Bates and Amy Mixon.
After a honeymoon in Chattanooga, Tenn., the couple resides in Jackson.
