Thompson, Burton

Brandy Burton of Meridian and Scotty Thompson of Satsuma, Ala., were married Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, at Briarwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Jamie Lamoreaux officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Ray Burton of Meridian, Dorothy Durham of Satsuma and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Thompson of Chatom, Ala.
Grandparents of the bride are Dean Boyette of Meridian and the late Claude Boyette, and Joy Littrell of Philadelphia and the late Leo Littrell.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Lyman Tate of Millry, Ala., Margie Whitten of Satsuma, Bessie Thompson of Chatom and the late Leslie Thompson.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Michael Gibson, pianist; Chris Ethridge and Shannon Rawson, soloists.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white formal gown of matte satin. The strapless corset bodice was adorned with rhinestones and crystals. The bodice featured a sweetheart neckline and the back of the bodice was accented with lace-up straps.
The fitted skirt flowed into a Tiffany-length train. She wore a three tiered elbow-length veil of silk illusion anchored by a headpiece of silk illusion with edging of rhinestones.
Kristie Eldridge of Daphne, Ala., served as matron of honor. Other attendants were Jennifer Gray, Gloria Mayatt, Alexis Smith Gray and Heather Boutwell, all of Meridian.
Kelbey Reynolds of Daphne served as junior bridesmaid. Victoria Burton of Louisville was flower girl.
Shane Thompson of Satsuma was best man. Groomsmen and ushers were John Owen of Butler, Ala., Luke Taylor of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Derek Williams of Daphne, Ala., Chad McKean of Mobile, Ala., Ryan Durham of Satsuma, Ala., Kenny McGowin and Jason Ortego, both of Meridian.
Program attendants were Lori McGowin of Meridian.
A reception was held at Meridian Little Theatre following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple resides in Knoxville, Tenn.
