A Meridian man remained in jail Thursday night after being arrested on charges of false pretense.
Tommy Lee Anderson, 47, of 1921 16th Ave., was arrested Thursday for allegedly charging an elderly woman money for delivering meals to her through the Meals on Wheels program.
Anderson is in jail on $10,000 bond.
Detective Deano Harper of the Meridian Police Department would not identify the woman who allegedly paid Anderson and did not know the amount of money involved.
Meals on Wheels is operated by the Multi-County Community Service Agency Inc.
