Alert issued about FBI impostor

The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department is warning residents that a man impersonating an FBI agent was reported Monday in Sumter County, Ala.
Maj. Ward Calhoun said the man approached a woman at her home. He is described as white, about 6 feet tall, and driving a light blue or silver Honda Accord with Florida tags.
The woman was suspicious when he told her he was an FBI agent; authorities determined he was an impostor.
Calhoun said anyone who encounters someone fitting his description should call the sheriff's department at 482-9800 or the Meridian Police Department at 485-1893.
