Clarke County meeting postponed

QUITMAN A Clarke County Council of Governments meeting scheduled has been postponed indefinitely so area leaders could attend funeral services for Frank Ivy, who died Monday.
Ivy's father, James Ivy, long served as East Mississippi Electric Power Association's district manager here.
The Council of Governments was scheduled to meet at 11 a.m. Thursday the same time as the funeral, which will be at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in the Elwood community west of here. The council has not scheduled a new meeting.
Visitation for Ivy is today after 5 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home. Burial will be in King's Cemetery.
