Kemper County woman dies in accident

PRESTON A 22-year-old Kemper County woman died Saturday after the car she was driving apparently left Highway 397 and ran into a thicket of pine trees.
Kemper County Coroner Kathy Lanier said that Brook Henderson of Preston was pronounced dead on the scene after being thrown from the sports car she was driving.
Lanier said the wreck happened at about 11:15 a.m. just north of Preston in northwest Kemper County.
Lanier said Henderson was alone in the car and driving north on Highway 397 at the time of the accident. Lanier said Henderson was not wearing a seat belt.
