Art, chocolate and champagne what more could you ask for?
That's what organizers of Art for Heart's Gallery Party, set for Saturday, hope residents will think. This year's theme is "Chocolate Fantasy." The party will be at Cartmell Gallery in downtown Meridian.
Art for Heart hosts three events in February, which is National Heart Month.
The first is tonight's Patrons Party at the Rosenbaum Condominiums; the second is Saturday night's "Chocolate Fantasy" Gallery Party; and the third is the Gala Dinner on Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. at Northwood Country Club.
Tickets to the Gallery Party are $25. Tickets to the Gala Dinner are $100 per person.
On Saturday, the 80 pieces of artwork up for bid during the Gala Dinner will be unveiled. Guests will enjoy live musical entertainment, hors d'oeuvres, champagne and chocolates.
For the first time during Art for Heart, visitors will get to make silent bids on three select pieces at the Gallery Party. The highest bidders take the pieces home that night.
This is Art for Heart's fifth annual event in Meridian. The goal is to raise $100,000. Last year, the event raised $96,000.
