Boston named EMSH 2002 employee of year

Geraldine Boston has been named East Mississippi State Hospital's 2002 Employee of the Year.
The announcement was made by Dr. Ramiro J. Martinez, EMSH director, at a luncheon at the hospital last week honoring all employees of the quarter.
Clark was elected by popular vote of EMSH employees from a slate of 2002 Employee of the Quarter winners which included Ollie McKenzie, Glenda Slay and Yolanda Atkins.
Martinez congratulated all the honorees and thanked them for their service.
Bradley Sanders, Department of Mental Health board chairman commended the workers.
Employed by the hospital since July 1988, Boston works in the maintenance department. She serves in a supervisory role and is responsible for grounds maintenance, equipment deletions and transfers.
She also takes weekend calls for emergencies, which may include any problem that arises related to hospital maintenance including electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
Boston is the mother of three children; she enjoys spending time with them and her five grandchildren. She also enjoys working out at the gym and walking.
For receiving the honor, Boston got a plaque and a $200 cash award provided by the East Mississippi State Hospital Friends Organization.
