Quitman takes road win over Florence

The Quitman High Lady Panthers took care of things on the road with a win over Florence 53-30 Friday night. Quitman, (11-11, 2-3) relied on 19 points from Kemonica McGee and 12 points from Shaquilla Mack to secure the victory. Latoshia Evans added 11 points for Quitman.
Florence was lead by Ashley Jones with 18 points.
The Lady Panthers will be back at home on Tuesday when they face off agianst Northeast Lauderdale.
Scott Central Girls 49
William Sullivan 42
Elyse Clay and Latasha Johnson each scored 13 points as Scott Central hung on to beat William Sullivan by a score of 49-42.
Quarnitra Murray chipped in nine points for Scott Central as while.
Phily boys 64
SE Lauderdale 55
The Tornadoes got a balanced attack on offense to secure a win on Friday night. The victory moves Philadelphia to 14-10 on the year.
Orie Hudson, Bobby Goodin and Richard Garrett all scored 16 points each in the win. Southeast was led by Windham Campbell with 19 points.
Union 66
Sebastopol 47
Union moved to 12-9 on the season and 9-2 in division play with a victory over Sebastopol on Friday. Leading Union on the scoreboard was Anthony Johnson with 17 points, Derek Harris with 15 points and James Harris with 10 points.
Sebastopol was lead by Curtis Price, 12 points, and Alton Clark, 11 points. Union will play at Enterprise on Tuesday.
Clarkdale girls 35
South Leake 46
Clarkdale dropped a close on last night in girls hoops action. Leading the Lady Bulldogs was Danielle Gaddis with 12 points and Felicia Kirksey with 14.
Clarkdale boys 61
South Leake 82
Rocky Kirksey put up 19 points fo rth ebulldogs, but it was not enough as Clarkdale fell to South Leake in boys basketball Friday.
Sumter Aca. girls 41
South Choctaw 14
Meredith Edmonds lead Sumter Academy to their 13th victiry of the season in girls prep hoops on Friday. Sumter Academy is now 13-7 on the year.
Lamar School 57
Parklane 56
Lamar used four players who construced four double-doubles to pull out a one point victory on Friday.
Austin Roebuck led all scorers with 15 points and 10 rebounds. David Haggard made his frist appearence back after suffering an injury earlier this year with 13 points and 10 assists. Matthew Fort scored 10 points and had 10 assists while Harrison scored 11 points and pulled down 13 rebounds.
Lamar improved to 10-13 on the year with the win.
Newton County 79
West Lauderdale 83
West Lauderdale used outscored Newton County 26-12 in the fourth quarter for the come from behind victory Friday.
Calvin Moore scored a game high 29 points for the Knights and Boo Ramsey added 18 points.
Ken Windham scored 16 points for Newon County.
