Pachuta man killed in two-car collision

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate a two-car traffic accident that left a Pachuta man dead.
Staff Sgt. Ronnie Carter, a MHP spokesman, said Jerry D. Lewis, 48, was pronounced dead Monday at a Newton hospital.
The accident happened about 6:20 a.m. Monday when Lewis collided "head on" with another motorist on Highway 504.
Carter said the passenger of the other vehicle was transported to a local hospital. His condition was unavailable today.
