Waldine Stephens Morgan

Graveside services for Waldine Stephens Morgan were held today at 10:30 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with the Rev. James A. Ruffin officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Morgan, 92, of Peachtree City, Ga., died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, in Peachtree City. She was a retired beautician and a counselor. She was a lifetime grandmother for the Deb Social Club in Meridian and was the last of nine children of the late Rev. Eugene and Hattie Stephens.
Survivors include her daughter, Geanie Stroble and her husband, Mike; grandchildren, Jason Stroble, Jennifer Stroble and Jonathan Stroble, all of Sharpsburg, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harry Hughes and Hubert Morgan.
Pallbearers were to be Jason Stroble, Jonathan Stroble, Frank Armstrong, Tony Farello, Lenny Farello and Billy Allen.
Joe E. Dill
Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center employe
Services for Joe E. Dill will be held today at 2 p.m. at Highland Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Carl White officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Dill, 88, of Meridian, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
He was a member of Highland Baptist Church since 1952 and worked at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center, where he supervised the lab and cardiac units for more than 39 years.
He was a member of the Lions Club and St. John's Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years. He was also a member of the Travelers Protection Association for more than 50 years. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Dill of Meridian; daughters, Scarlett McGee of Bourg, La., Vicky Bennett and her husband, Richard, of Houston and JoAnne Massey and her husband, Pete, of Jackson; grandchildren, Todd Bennett of Houston, Delena Daniels and her husband, Robert, of Bourg, and Allison, Amelia and Haley Massey, all of Jackson; a great-grandchild, Robbie Daniels of Bourg; and a sister, Thelma Alexander of York, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Annie Matt Grimes and Mary Grimes; brothers, George Reed Dill and John Dill.
Pallbearers will be Fred Rhodes, Joe Wilkerson, Lavelle Massey, Roland Gough, Vernon Brandon, Jerry Townsend, David Buntyn and John Heart.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Harvester's Sunday School Class and Chris Whaley.
Memorials may be made to Mississippi Lions Sight Foundation.
Hilda M. Tullos

PHILADELPHIA Services for Hilda M. Tullos will be held today at 2 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Rev. David Hamm officiating. Burial will be in Tucker Cemetery in Philadelphia. McClain-Hays Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Tullos, 80, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at Neshoba County General Hospital in Philadelphia.
Survivors include her daughters, Cassia Edenfield of Diamondhead and Theresa Phillips of Philadelphia; sons, Paul Tullos, John "Chip" Tullos, Anthony "Tony" Tullos, Greg Tullos, Joe Tullos and Jeff Tullos, all of Philadelphia, and Frank Tullos of Edwards; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
William F. Blackwell
Truck driver
UNION Services for William F. Blackwell will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Beulah Baptist Church with the Revs. Byron Howell and Gill Allan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Blackwell, 53, of Decatur, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Blackwell and a stepson, Dewaine Ferguson, both of Decatur; a son, Jeremy Blackwell of Tennessee; his mother, Catherine Blackwell; one grandchild; three brothers, Bobby Blackwell, James Blackwell and Ronnie Blackwell, all of Decatur; and a sister, Margie Barrow of Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donnie Blackwell.
Memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Estes, Cleatus Hughey, James Graham, Wayne Lanier, Gary Pinson and Danny Gresett.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Dorothy Lee
Graveside services for Dorothy Lee will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Enterprise Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lee of Meridian, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, in her home.
Visitation will be Wednesday 9 a.m.-10 a.m. at the funeral home.
William L. Mallette III

Services for William L. "Bill" Mallette III will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. James Ruffin and Dr. Thad Moore officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mr. Mallette, 59, of Meridian, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, in Chattanooga, Tenn. He was a member of Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church. He was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, a Mason, a Shriner, beloved husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Saxon Mallette of Meridian; his children, Terri Mallette Johnson and her husband, Jay, of Cullman, Ala., Jennifer Mallette Bible and her husband, Ray, and Greg Mallette and his wife, Cheri, all of Meridian, and Kenny Mallette and his wife, Julie, of Chattanooga; seven grandchildren, Lauren, Will, Chris, Rob, Megan, Madeleine and Baylee; sisters, Marlene Mallette and Jerris Mallette; a brother, Pat Mallette and his wife, Romona, of Lucedale; a sister-in-law, Faye Mallette of Ocean Springs; a brother-in-law, Joe Saxon Jr. and his wife, Peachie, of Meridian; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William L. Mallette Jr. and Bonnie Mallette; and a brother, Avon Mallette.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Carol Ann Burkes
PHILADELPHIA Graveside services for Carol Ann Burkes will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Eastlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Burkes officiating. McClain-Hays Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Miss Burkes, 45, of Ellisville, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at Wayne County General Hospital in Waynesboro.
Survivors include her parents, Wausie and Sue Burkes of Brandon; and a sister, Alane Hudson of Birmingham, Ala.
Visitation will be Wednesday beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
