Services for Johnnie Dale DuBuisson will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Byrd officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. DuBuisson, 64, of Meridian, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, in her home.
Survivors include her husband, James DuBuisson and her father, John David Frazier, both of Meridian; her children, Michael Frazier and his wife, Marcia, of Stonewall, Lisa McCary of Meridian and Rhonda Shea and her husband, Pat, of Meridian; grandchildren, Carrie Murphy, Stanley Murphy, Ashley DuBuisson, Nathan Shea and Benjamin Dunnan; brothers, Buddy Frazier, Jack Frazier, Dennis Frazier, Paul Frazier and Steve Frazier; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Rufus R. Griffin
Retired General Box Company
Services for Rufus R. "Bubba" Griffin will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dennis Duvall, Donald Gentry and Ralph Henson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Griffin, 73, of Meridian, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He attended Arrowood Baptist Church and retired from the maintenance department at General Box Company after 42 years.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Griffin of Meridian; a son, Donnie Griffin and his wife, Judy, of Pearl; a brother, John Griffin of Pearl; sisters, Odeane Vaughn and Gladys Aycock, both of Meridian, Cora Sykes of Houston and Opal Casey of West Point; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Doug Griffin, Tony Lowman, Jerry Vaughn, Al Watts, James Louern, and Charlie Woodall.
Visitation will be Wednesday 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Richard Arnold Dearman
Retired police officer
Memorial services for Richard Arnold Dearman will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church in the Zero Community with the Rev. Nick Holden officiating.
Mr. Dearman, 62, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, in his home.
He was a retired police officer with the Markham, Ill., Police Department, where he served with distinction, receiving a Purple Heart and the Medal of Valor. After moving back to Meridian in 1993, he worked at Fort James Mill, operating the drying kiln. He retired from there in 2002.
Survivors include his mother, Sarah Cahoon Dearman; a sister, Dorothy D. Vance and her husband, Mike; sons, John Robert Dearman and his wife, Florie, of Collinswood, Ariz., and Brian Dearman and his wife, Dalanya, of Flossmoor, Ill.; daughters, Lori Dearman Bauman and her husband, Jeff, of Orange, Calif., Shelly and Kelly Dearman, both of Flossmoor, Ill.; nine grandchildren, Laura and James Dearman of Cottonwood, Jonathan and Michelle Bauman of Orange, Xenia, Dexandria, Amya and Ashiya Dearman, all of Flossmoor, and Karia Davis of Meridian; a great-aunt, Minnie Merle Cahoon of Chunky; one uncle, Robert H. Cahoon and his wife, Pam, of Birmingham, Ala.; an aunt, Okey Presley of Pickins; three nephews, Alan Smith of Meridian, Kevin Smith and his wife, Lessea, of Collinsville and Edward Smith and his wife, Karen, of Meridian; two great-nephews, William "Eliot" and Alan "Luke" Smith, and one great-niece, Harleigh Smith, all of Meridian.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward G. Dearman; grandparents, William Henry and Fannie Elizabeth Dearman, and John Robert and Ora Mae Cahoon; and several aunts and uncles.
Memorials may be made to the Gideons International.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service at the church.
