Shanna Breckenridge of Franklin, Tenn., and Matt Young of Tupelo were married Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, at First Baptist Church of Verona with the Rev. David Hamilton officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Marion Breckenridge of DeKalb, and Mr. and Mrs. James Young of Saltillo.
Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Breckenridge of Preston and Georgia Lang of DeKalb.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Herman Young of Verona, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Caldwell of Saltillo.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Randy Wood, pianist and trumpet; and Jason and Tara Harris, vocalists.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
She wore a white satin two-piece wedding dress. The corset-style featured boning imported from Europe. The skirt was A-line with satin fabric to match the corset.
Dr. Jessica Russell of Wesson served as maid of honor. Dr. Jessica Sartin of Bogue Chitto served as matron of honor.
Other attendants were Stacey Clark of DeKalb, Dr. Kristi Curry of Franklin, Tenn., Michele Harris of West Point and Dr. Ginger Waycaster of Franklin.
Anna Claire and Addison Priest of Saltillo were flower girls.
Michael McCrory of Oxford was best man.
Groomsmen were Brad Fair of Tupelo, Jeff Holladay of Tupelo, Tommy Dale Holcomb of Guntown, Michael McHenry of Saltillo and Bobby Ray of Saltillo.
Ushers were Brian Fortenberry of Franklin and Scott Fortenberry of Nashville, Tenn.
Program attendants were Dr. Kim Rosso and Dr. Bethany Powers.
A reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church following the ceremony.
Assisting at the reception were Brandy Carnathan, Courtney Holliday, Judy Johnston, Leigh Ray, Christy Woodall and Tracy Young.
After a honeymoon in Oahu and Maui, Hawaii, the couple resides in Franklin, Tenn.
