Navy Seaman Earnest C. Hampton, son of Cloria and Earnest Hampton of Bailey, recently departed to the Western Pacific region while assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk, forward deployed to Yokosuka, Japan.
Hampton is a 2001 graduate of West Lauderdale High School of Collinsville and joined the U.S. Navy in September 2001.
Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class James E. Williams Jr., son of Loisteen H. Jefferson of Cedarbluff and James E. Williams Sr. of Macon, recently departed on a six-month deployment to the Mediterranean Sea and Arabian Gulf while assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman ported in Norfolk, Va.
Williams is one of more than 8,000 Atlantic Fleet Sailors and Marines aboard the ships and squadrons of the USS Harry S. Truman Carrier Battle Group. Williams is a 1999 graduate of Noxubee High School of Macon, and joined the U.S. Navy in July 1999.
Navy Seaman DeMarco A. Brimlett, a 2000 graduate of Newton High School, recently returned from a six-month deployment to the Mediterranean Sea and Arabian Gulf while assigned to the guided missile destroyer USS Barry, home ported in Norfolk,Va.
Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Milton L. Jimison, son of Milton L. Jimison of Lauderdale, recently departed on a six-month deployment to the Mediterranean Sea and Arabian Gulf while assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman home ported in Norfolk,Va.
Jimison is a 1991 graduate of Kemper County High School of DeKalb and Joined the U.S. Navy in July 1991.
Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Dustin E. Yeager, a 2001 graduate of Newton High School, is currently on a six-month deployment while assigned to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit based in Camp Lejeune, N.C.
Yeager is the grandson of Shirley Nelson and nephew of James Stribling, both of Little Rock.
