Four Lauderdale County men have been charged in a string of vehicle burglaries.
The burglaries of at least seven automobiles happened during the early morning hours of Jan. 8 near Northeast High School, according to Lauderdale County Chief Deputy Mike Mitchell.
Arrested on charges of burglary of an automobile were: Justin Carroll, 17, and Joshua J. Carroll, 19, both of 8880 Lake Flora Drive, Lauderdale; Joshua Earl Boughman, 18, 4148 Bailey Acres Circle; and Matthew J. Hatcher, 19, 12229 Hand Road, Collinsville.
Mitchell said deputies began talking with suspects Monday. He said the suspects made statements that they committed the burglaries.
Mitchell said the suspects allegedly took stereos, stereo amplifiers, speakers, cell phones and compact discs in the thefts. He said most of the cars that were burglarized were unlocked.
Three of the suspects, the two Carroll men and Boughman were jailed on a $10,000 bond. Hatcher was jailed on a $7,500 bond. Boughman and Hatcher both bonded out while the Carrolls were still jailed this morning.
