GERTRUDE EVERETT WALKER GAINES

Services for Gertrude Everett Walker Gaines will be held Monday at 2 p.m. graveside at Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Roy Garrett officiating. A private visitation will be held Monday.
Mrs. Walker died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, in Meridian.
Survivors include daughters Ouida Walker Arnold, Peggy Gaines Rushing, Faye Gaines Pace; grandchildren Donna Brewer, Jeana Jones, Marcia McDonald, Dana Rushing, Richard Pace and Brady Rushing all of Meridian; great-grandchildren Brian Kloss, Rachael Jones, Joseph Boyd, Matthew Rushing, Kellie Rushing, Ricky Pace, Randy Pace, Ronny Pace, Courtney Pace, Colton Pace, Sidney Pace and Gene Kloss.
She was preceded in death by her husbands R.F. Walker and John Howard Gaines; and brothers and sisters, Sam Everett, Lewis Everett, Howard Everett, Taylor Green "T.G." Everett, Bobby Everett, Alvin Everett, Lonny Everett, Irby Everett, Emma Philips, Eunice E. Little and Sara Maude E. Tatum.

QUITMAN Services for Erma Tillman will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Shady Grove Methodist Church in Quitman with the Rev. Danny Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Berry &Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Tillman, 48, of Quitman, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Tillman of Quitman; a daughter, Sylvia McDyess of Meridian; a son, Edward D. McDyess of Quitman; two step daughters, Patsy Edwards of Quitman and Shannon Arrington of Heidelberg; five sisters, Mildred Cooper of Racine, Wis., Betty Price of Rose Hill, and Joyce McGrudder, Jacqueline Harris and Samantha Wallace all of Quitman; seven brothers, Daisy McDyess of Shubuta, Robert Wallace of Meridian, Jordan Wallace and Arthur Wallace, both of Milwaukee, and Billy Wallace of Racine, Wis., and Royce Wallace and Bobby Wallace both of Quitman; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Monday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
ROBERT CLAY, SR.
Retired employee of Meridian Beauty Supply
Services for Robert Clay, Sr. will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Berry &Gardner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery in Laurel.
Mr. Clay, 73, of Meridian, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, at Newton County Nursing Home.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia A. Clayton of Joliet, Ill., and Margaret Clay of Racine, Wis.; and two sons, Robert Clay, Jr. of Los Angeles, and Kenny R. Clay of Racine.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
KATIE CLARK COLE
Retired beautician
Services for Katie Clark Cole will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at St. Mark Methodist Church in Daleville with the Rev. Eddie Jones officiating. Burial will be in Friendly Cemetery in Marion. Berry &Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Cole, 64, of Meridian, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at Guardian Angel Hospice.
Survivors include her husband, Carter Leon Cole of Meridian; two sons, Rev. Zachary Cole and his wife, Yolanda, of Meridian, and Cedric Cole of Jackson; a sister, Rev. Ethel Stewart of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers Isaac Clark and James Clark, both of Marion; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Thursday from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements were incomplete at Berry &Gardner Funeral Home for Katherine W. Timmons, 76, of Meridian who died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at Riley Hospital.
