Meridian man remains in custody without bond

A Meridian man remained in the Lauderdale County jail on Friday after being charged in connection with the Dec. 13 armed robbery of the Citizens Bank branch on Poplar Springs Drive.
Meridian Police Detective Deano Harper said Tommy Moffite, 44, of 2215 23rd Ave., turned himself in Jan. 1. No bond has been set for Moffite.
Harper said Moffite stole an undisclosed amount of money. Moffite is set to appear in court on March 24.
