Services for Janie Pauline Miller George will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at the Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carl Stephens officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Collinsville.
Mrs. George, 90, of Meridian, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002, at King's Daughters and Sons Rest Home. She was a lifetime resident of Lauderdale County and Kemper County. She attended Old Leeville School and Collinsville High School. She had a long, happy and healthy life and will be missed by a large family.
Survivors include her daughter, Jo Ann Braddock and her husband, C.B., of Meridian; three sons, Paul D. George of Collinsville, John C. George of Moss Point and James "Jim" George of Atlanta; seven grandchildren, Tracey Jo Jones, Charles B. "Chuck" Braddock Jr., Thomas Andrew "Andy" Braddock, Johnny C. George, Danny Earl George, Judson Perry George, Zachry Miller George and Steve Key; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Miller; sisters, Prudy Chesney and Doris Alawine; and a brother, C.C. Miller.
Visitation will be Tuesday beginning at 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Alice Forbes Parker

Services for Alice Forbes Parker will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Kevin Jones officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Parker, 83, of Meridian, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of State Boulevard Baptist Church, the Azalea Garden Club and the Truth Seekers Sunday School class.
Survivors include her husband, William M. Parker of Meridian; a son, William Forbes Parker of Topeka, Kan.; a sister, Douglas F. Eaves of Louisville; grandchildren, Alison Parker Knowles of Grain Valley, Mo., and Susan Parker of Blue Springs, Mo.; a great-grandson, Billy Knowles of Grain Valley; and two daughters-in-law, Norma Parker of Blue Springs and Juanita Parker of Topeka.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John S. Forbes and Sarah Taylor Forbes.
Pallbearers will be Dan Hutchinson, Gene Anderson, Owen Jones, Fred Hattaway, Tommy Spears and Bud Massey.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Fisherman's Sunday School class.
The family requests memorials be made to a favorite charity in Mrs. Parker's name.
Visitation will be Monday 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Nora Elisabeth Argenbright
Services for Nora Elisabeth Argenbright will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Chunky Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Argenbright, 98, of Chunky, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, at The Speciality Hospital. She was a member of Chunky Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, J.D. Davis of Chunky, Solon Davis of Jackson and Sam Davis of Oklahoma City, Okla.; seven grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Davis, Lex Davis, Donnie Davis, Rusty Davis, Sammy Davis and Bill Duncan.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Betty Nell Bennett Adcock will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Don M. Boone officiating. Burial will be in Old Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston County.
Mrs. Adcock, 68, of Louisville, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was a retired dormitory superintendent at East Central Community College.
Survivors include her sisters, Jeanette Myers, Faye Manning and Lois McGee, all of Philadelphia, Bonnie Boswell and Billie Steed of Kosciusko; a stepdaughter, Sharon Howard of Weir; and a stepson, Lee Doty of Houston.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
