Posey, Harrison

Shannon Alice Harrison of Union and James Chandler Pepper Posey of Philadelphia were married Saturday, July 13, 2002, at First Baptist Church in Union, with the Rev. Dr. Marcus Finch officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Mike Harrison of Union, and Mr. and Mrs. Hays Posey of Philadelphia.
Grandparents of the bride are Mary Shelton of Union and the late Mack Shelton, and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Harrison of Little Rock.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Barnwell of Crossville, Tenn., and Mable Pearl Posey of Philadelphia and the late Frank Posey.
Music for the ceremony was provided by the Maisel Duo of Jackson; Julie Maisel, flautist and Ty Maisel, violinist; Pam Giles and John Henry, vocalists. Music also included a prerecorded a song by the bride for her mother and a song she performed for the bridegroom.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She wore a formal strapless two-piece gown of Italian white satin. The fitted bodice had a sweetheart neckline and was edged with pearl and crystal beaded lace.
The bodice featured hand-cut pieces of seed pearl and Alencon sequined appliques with added rhinestones which lined the top and bottom and buttons complemented the back. The fitted skirt was edged with lace and featured clusters of pearls and bugle beads and fell into a chapel-length train.
She wore a crystal and pearl tiara that anchored a two-tier veil that fell past her shoulders. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of white calla lilies and Gerber daisies.
Dr. Nicole Harrison of Union, sister-in-law of the bride, served as matron of honor. Junior maid of honor was Chandler Posey of Philadelphia, daughter of the bridegroom.
Bridesmaids were Holly Arthur and Mim Lott, both of Union, Mandy Goldman of Ridgeland, Candace Lockhart of Cordova, Tenn., Dr. Jessica Mooney of Philadelphia, Brandi Reeves of Decatur and Elizabeth Williams Waco, Texas.
Flower girls were Brittany Graham of Union and Abby Reeves of Decatur.
Jimmy Thrash and Walt Rudolph, both of Philadelphia, served as best men. Groomsmen were Gene Brown Jr., Terrell Flint, Brian Killen, and Tommy McCool, all of Philadelphia, Chad Harrison of Union, brother of the bride, Dr. Jimmy Marlowe II of Hattiesburg and Dr. Barry Phillips of Brandon.
Ushers were Wayne Chesney of Starkville, Scott Driskell of Nashville and Scottie Stokes of Grenada.
Program attendant and greeter was Brooke Graham of Union. Serving as registrar was Lindsey Posey of Philadelphia.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Philadelphia/Neshoba County Country Club. Music was provided by Peter Christian and Crew of Jackson.
Assisting at the reception Stephanie Bounds, Madison Brantley, Magan Lancaster and Hali Rainer.
After a honeymoon in Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple resides in Philadelphia.
