McCormick, Acosta

Rose Mary Acosta of Meridian and John William McCormick Jr. of Rose Hill were married Saturday, Nov. 5, 2002, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, with the Rev. J.P. Grenham officiating.
Parents of the couple are the late David Rodriguez Sr. and Mae Artiques of St. Bernard, La., and the late John William McCormick Sr. and Aurelia McCormick of Rose Hill.
Nuptial music was provided by Heidi Perry and Christina Billiott.
The bride was given in marriage by Nicholas D. Collins. She wore a designer gown of ivory silk overlaid with chiffon. The full-length gown was accented with a floral motif. Iridescent beads and pearls appliques accented the long sleeves, waistline and hemline. She carried a cascading bouquet of ivory roses and peace lilies.
Nicole Marie Acosta of Atlanta served as maid of honor. Bridesmaid was Patricia Forsythe of St. Bernard, La. and scripture reader was Lucy Whitney Collins of St. Bernard.
Danla' Kelsey Brown of Slidell, La., was flower girl.
John William McCormick III of Rose Hill was best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Chad Reece McCormick of Rose Hill and Daniel Patrick Rodriguez. Ring bearer was Stefan Jordan Weaver of St. Bernard.
Program attendants were Daniel Patrick Rodriguez and Lucy Whitney Collins.
A reception was held at Ducros Isleno Village following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon in Jamaica, Cayman Islands and Cozumel, the couple resides in Meridian.
