QUITMAN Services for Melvin Eugene Lofton will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. James Shoemake and Johnnie Mosley officiating. Burial will be in Archusa Memorial Gardens in Quitman.
Mr. Lofton, 79, of Enterprise, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002, at Lakeside Living Center in Quitman.
Survivors include his son, Ray Lofton of Enterprise; three brothers, Millard Lofton of Tupelo, Calvin Lofton of Memphis and Roy Lofton of Tupelo; three sisters, Opal Williams of Quitman, Beverly Steen of Kosciusko and Margaret Parker of Jackson; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Claudie O. Fryery will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at John E. Stephens Chapel with the Revs. Allen Dees and Larry Smith officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Fryery, 80, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002, in his home. He was retired after more than 32 years of service with the U.S. Air Force as a chief master sergeant.
Survivors include his wife, Tommie Jean Fryery of Philadelphia; a daughter, Joann Corder of Aliceville, Ala.; sons, Terry Fryery of Phoenix, Ariz., and Larry Fryery of Portland, Ore.; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Darrell Gallegos.
Visitation will be today beginning at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Tabert Roberts will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Roberts, 60, of Meridian, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002, in his home.
Survivors include his wife, Ola Simmons Roberts of Meridian; a daughter, Felicia Roberts of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; two sons, Bruce Roberts and Raphael Roberts, both of Meridian; two sisters, Augusta Johnson of Bellwood, Ill., and Clotte Coleman of Chicago; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Services for Addie Tisdale Wilson will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Collinsville with the Rev. Cleveland Hayes officiating. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Wilson, 103, of Meridian, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2002, at Queen City Nursing Home.
Survivors include her daughters, Arvella McKenzie of Collinsville and Addie Virginia Morrison of New York; 27 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Wilson, four children and 14 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be Friday 3 p.m.-6 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
