Ohoyo Bihhi Ayasha captures stickball title

CHOCTAW The Ohoyo Bihhi Ayasha women won the 2002 World Series of Stickball women's championship with a 4-0 shutout of Bok Cito Ohoyo Tuesday night at the 53rd-annual Choctaw Indian Fair.
Leslie Fuller and Robin Isaac scored for the Pearl River team in the first period for an early 2-0 lead.
Larisha Stephens made it 3-0 with a goal with 2:30 remaining in the first half.
The only second half scoring came on a shot from Peggy Williams with 7:15 left in the third quarter.

No individual scoring was available from Friday's women's semifinal game that saw Bok Cito advance to the championship.

After a scoreless first quarter Saturday, Ohoyo Bihhi Ayasha took a 1-0 lead into halftime on a goal by Peggy Williams.
The Pearl River women upped their lead to 3-0 in the third quarter on scores from Tiffany Kopaddy and Dyranda Jimmie.
Both teams scored once in the fourth quarter. Leslie Fuller tallied for the winners with Shunna Chapman connecting for Konihatta Ohoyo.

The South won the men's 35-over championship with Tuesday's victory.
Harlon Bell led the South with three goals, while Randolph Williams added the other score.
