Thrash, Warren

Jennifer Warren and Sgt. John Thrash, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, May 18, 2002, at Arkadelphia Baptist Church with the Rev. David Deweese officiating.
Parents of the couple are Ronald and Linda Warren of Meridian, Patricia Waller of Philadelphia and Aubrey Thrash of Plain Dealing, La.
Grandparents of the bride are Katherine Nichols and the late Lola Payne, both of Meridian. A white rose was placed in memory of Payne.
Grandparent of the bridegroom is Christine Rowell of Lake.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white sleeveless A-line dress with a pearl beaded bodice. Her two tier chapel-length veil was accented with pearls scattered on the second tier.
Heather Scott of Atlanta served as maid of honor and Megan Wheeler of Forest was flower girl.
James Garrison of Meridian served as best man. Ushers were Daniel Cochran and Chris Miller, both of Meridian, and Mike Picha of St. Paul, Minn.
Dalton Ware of Meridian was ring bearer.
A reception was held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony. Guest book and gift table attendant was Amanda Cochran.
Assisting at the reception were Donna Miller, Tommy Hagwood, Ruth Boykin, Rita Watkins, Fran Misso and Katherine Nichols.
Pink and white balloons were released, instead of throwing traditional rice, as the couple left the church.
After a honeymoon in Cape Hatteras, N.C., the couple resides in Jacksonville, N.C., where the bridegroom is in the U.S. Marine Corps. The couple are 1996 graduates of West Lauderdale High School.
