PHILADELPHIA Graveside services for Melvin L. Smith will be held today at 1 p.m. at McLain Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Sodders officiating. McClain-Hays Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Smith, 78, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, July 14, 2002, in his home. He was a retired machine operator for Molpus Lumber Company. He was a veteran.
Survivors include his sisters, Helen Dearman of Meridian and Rachel Yates of Semmes, Ala.
Visitation will today beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Bridget Coghlan will be held today at 2 p.m. at John E. Stephens Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Scott Boatner officiating. Burial will be in Emmanuel Cemetery.
Mrs. Coughlan, 94, of Pearl, formerly of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at River Oaks Hospital.
Survivors include two daughters, Katherine Flint and Betty Morrow, both of Pearl; a son, Clifton Coghlan of Ocean Springs; a sister, Geneva Stuart of Meridian; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Coghlan and a son, Johnny Coghlan.
Visitation will be today beginning at noon at the funeral home.
ANITA JEANNINE FULTON
PRATTVILLE, Ala. Services for Anita Jeannine "Jean" Fulton were held July 2 at 1 p.m. at Bethesda Baptist Church with the Revs. Bert Tippitt and Charles Barnes officiating. Burial was in Bethesda Cemetery. Ridout's Prattville Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Fulton, 72, of Prattville, died Saturday, June 29, 2002, at Montgomery Hospital. She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church and a Red Cross nurses aide at Clark AFB in the Phillipines during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include her husband of more than 55 years, Robert Fulton of Prattville; her children, Cynthia Tullo of Prattville, James R. Fulton of Fayettville, N.C., Shirley Fulton Crumley of Birmingham and Kenneth Fulton of Montgomery; sisters and brothers, Sara Richardson of Pachuta, Ann Jackson of Stonewall, Emily Bigelow of Quitman, Betty Bryant of Griffin, Ga., and the Rev. Charles R. Barnes of Annapolis, Md.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Madonna Raines of Houston, Texas.
Pallbearers were James DeBardelaben, Paul Tullo, James Crumley Sr., James Crumley Jr., Victor Joganic and Mike Romanowski.
Honorary pallbearers were the church deacons.
