An improved baseball season at Choctaw County High School in Butler, Ala., has many in the Choctaw County High Baseball Diamond Club happy to acknowledge Jerry Crenshaw of Meridian and several others for their efforts.

Crenshaw is a Coca Cola representative in Meridian and he has been a long-time coach and supporter of summer baseball throughout the East Mississippi and West Alabama.

Crenshaw got behind first-year head CCHS baseball coach Bill McFarland by putting together a summer program for the Tiger players.
The CCHS Baseball Diamond Club, which completed its first year, will continue to help improve Tiger baseball. The Baseball Diamond Club was organized by Mr. and Mrs. Gerald R. Johnson and includes members Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Y. Johnson, Sr., Fannie Levertt, Ivnell Tyson, Kathy Davis, Linda Keeton, Debra Drummond, and Clinton Thomas.
Also cited for their help to the Tiger baseball program were Sharon McNeely, Vernon Underwood and the late Leandrew Woods. The club also expresses appreciation to coach McFarland and his family along with Kendrick Willis for his help.
