JAMES HARDY KING

WAYNESBORO Services for James Hardy King will be held today at 3 p.m. at Freeman Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Thomas Cumberland, Hobson Toney and John Stodghill officiating. Burial will be in Waynesboro Cemetery.
Mr. King, 79, of Waynesboro, died Monday, June 10, 2002, at Wayne General Hospital. He was veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Martha King of Waynesboro; a son, Ennis H. King and his wife, Marie, of Waynesboro; a daughter, Wanda Link and her husband, Tom, of Pascagoula; a sister, Mrs. M.L. Clanton of Waynesboro; three grandsons, two step-grandsons, three granddaughters, three great-granddaughters, four great-grandsons, four step-great-grandsons and one step-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Annie Mae King; his father, the Rev. T.A. King; his mother, Corine King; and a sister, Edith Whigham.
WILLA WINSTEAD SMITH
Retired school teacher
UNION Services for Willa Winstead Smith will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Gilbert Allen officiating. Burial will be in Greenland Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith, 72, of Collinsville, died Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in House. She taught at Beulah Hubbard School for more than 20 years. She was an avid and talented quilter.
Survivors include her son, Randy Smith of Collinsville; and a brother Gerald Winstead of Rogersville, Ala.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
NELLIE E. MILLER
Homemaker
Services for Nellie E. Miller will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Allen Dearing officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
Ms. Miller, 85, of Lauderdale, died Monday, June 10, 2002, at Riley Hospital. She was a member of Lauderdale Methodist Church.
Survivors include her sister, Willie R. Weeks of Lauderdale; nieces, Rita Wood McGinnas and her husband, Bill, of Birmingham, Ala., Evelyn Edwards and her husband, Jim, of Lauderdale, and Barbra Fuller of Lauderdale; a nephew, Harold Wood and his wife, Barbra, of Mobile; one great-niece, three great-nephews, two great-great nephews and three great-great nieces; special friends, Sue Clay, Ruthie Wood, Robert Seale, Steve Burden, James O'Dell, Ronnie Graves, Kenneth Graves, Mike Manley, Freddie Holmes, Brett Jeffferys, Doyle Flanagan, John Walker and Tim Berryman.
Pallbearers will be Robert Seale, Steve Burden, James O'Dell, Ronnie Graves, Kenneth Graves, Mike Manley and Freddie Holmes.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
DR. THOMAS E. RUSSELL
Retired professor
YORK, Ala. Graveside services for Dr. Thomas E. Russell will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Clay Memorial Cemetery in Cuba with the Rev. Dr. James E. Walters officiating. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Dr. Russell, 70, of Mobile, died Monday, June 10, 2002, in Mobile. He was a retired professor at the University of South Alabama.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Brock Russell, two sons, Thomas E. Russell Jr. and his wife, Beverly, and Daniel L. Russell, a granddaughter, Julia Katherine Russell, all of Mobile; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
PAULINE RODGERS
Retired
Services for Pauline Rodgers will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Fairfield C.M.E. Church in Hasell, Ala., with the Rev. Levelle Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Enterprise Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Rodgers, 89, of Meridian, died Sunday, June 9, 2002, in Butler, Ala.
Survivors include her daughter, Lucille Walton of Lisman; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Johnnie Rodgers.
Visitation will be today noon-5 p.m. at the funeral home and Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church.
BERTHA LOUISE BOYD

Services for Bertha Louise Boyd will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Ray Boyd and Jim Meadows officiating. Burial will be in Long Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Boyd, 70, of Meridian, died Monday, June 10, 2002, in Meridian.
Survivors include her sons, Eugene Ulmer Jr., David Boyd and his wife, Judy, Bobby Ray Boyd and his wife, Joanne, all of Meridian, and Randy Boyd and his wife, Dena, of Marion; three brothers, George White, Jim White and Martin White and his wife, Linda, all of Meridian; a sister, Rose McDonald of Meridian; five grandchildren, Michell Boyd, Brandy and Taylor Marie Boyd, Joseph Boyd and Gage Boyd.
