Smith, Bayles

Melvin R. Smith of Ellisville and Janet L. Smith of Garvin, Okla., announce the engagement of their daughter, Crystal Romar, to James Jason Bayles, son of Mr. and Mrs. James C. Bayles Jr. of Meridian.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Sept. 29, 2001, at 3 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church in Meridian.
Miss Smith is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willis R. Bastible of Garvin, Vera L. Smith of Louin and the late George Thomas Smith.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Valiant High School and is attending Jones County Junior College. She plans to attend the University of Southern Mississippi to pursue a degree in public relations.
Mr. Bayles is the grandson of Doris Reeves of Raymond and the late Wesley Reeves Sr., Jewell Bayles of Jackson and the late James C. Bayles Sr.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of West Lauderdale High School and Mississippi State University. He received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law.
Mr. Bayles is employed as a staff attorney with the Mississippi State Department of Human Services.
A reception will be held at the church Family Life Center. Family and friends are invited to attend.
