Burress, Jones

Danny and Sheila Smith of Quitman announce the engagement of their daughter, Janet Renee Burress, to Jerrod Weston Jones, son of Jerry and Virginia Jones of Ellisville. Miss Burress is also the daughter of the late Patrick M. Burress of St. Paul, Minn.
The wedding will be held Saturday, July 21, 2001, at 5 p.m. at Rolling Creek Baptist Church in Quitman.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Margaret Lawrence of Stonewall, Elmo and Cynthia Fikes of Vancleave, Virginia Burress of St. Paul and the late John Burress and Johnny Ray and Ethel Jackson of Stonewall.
Miss Burress is the great-granddaughter of Margie Combest of Stonewall.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Quitman High School and Jones Junior College. She received a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Mississippi State University.
Miss Burress was previously employed with Accenture, formerly Andersen Consulting, in Atlanta.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of the late Ervin and Hazel Jones of Laurel.
Mr. Jones is a graduate of South Jones High School and Jones Junior College. He received a bachelor's degree in communications from Mississippi State University.
Mr. Jones is employed with Bank of Jones County in Laurel.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
