    OBITUARIES FOR SATURDAY, MAY 5, 2001

    CYNTHIA USHER
    HUNTSVILLE, Ala. Services for Cynthia Usher will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home, with the Revs. Jim Usher and Earl Holder officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens, with Valhalla Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Usher, 86, of Huntsville, died Friday, May 4, 2001, at a local nursing home. She was of the Church of God faith. Mrs. Usher loved the Lord. She was also an ambassador for the Lord, going to jails and nursing homes and visiting the sick and homebound. She also provided transportation for many people to go to church.
    Survivors include three daughters, Nancy Henson and Glenda Kuehn, both of Huntsville, and Beverly Bateman of Madison; two sons, Tom Usher of Atlanta and Jim Usher of Union Grove, Ala.; two sisters, Opal McDonald and Clemmie Daniels, both of Meridian; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas B. Usher, and a daughter, Myrtle Daniel.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
    ROGER GIBSON
    SEBASTOPOL Services for Roger Gibson will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pushmataha Family Life Center, with the Rev. Emmitte Denson and Deacon Junis Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Indian Baptist Church cemetery, with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Gibson, 48, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, May 3, 2001, at University Medical Center in Jackson.
    Survivors include a daughter, Stacy Willis of Philadelphia; a step-daughter, Shonda Jackson of Philadelphia; three step-sons, Michael Jackson, Eric Jackson and Bruce Jackson, all of Philadelphia; two sisters, Ester Lene Isaac of Philadelphia and Genevieve Isaac of Walnut Grove; two brothers, John Gibson of Philadelphia and Billy Joe Gibson of Walnut Grove; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
    Visitation began Friday at 4 p.m. at the family home.
    FRANCIES RUTH COLTER
    Services for Francies Ruth Colter will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Rose Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Smith officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery with Latimer Metropolitan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Colter, 49, of Union, died Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include a sister, Lucyndia McNair of Union; three brothers, Ray Charles McNair of Union, Willie McNair of Atlanta and Luke McNair of Copperas Cove, Texas.
    Visitation will be held Sunday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the church.
    FRANK COLE
    Retired stock clerk
    Services for Frank Cole will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Cole, 78, of Meridian, died Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include his wife, Callie Cole of Meridian; three daughters, Tanya Williams of Meridian, Minnie Coleman of Fort Benning, Ga., and Mable Moore of Fort Bragg, N.C.; two sons, Alex Cole of Mannheim, Germany, and Frank Cole Jr. of Fort Bragg; four sisters, Cleo Moore, Betty Burks and Mildred Alto, all of Chicago, and Juanita Teneria of San Francisco; and eight grandchildren.
    Visitation will be Sunday from 7:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
    FRANK JORDAN JR.
    QUITMAN Services for Frank Jordan Jr. will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Advail McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Jordan, 39, of Quitman, died Tuesday, May 1, 2001, at his home.
    Survivors include his wife, Sharon Jordan of Quitman; two daughters, Quacie Jordan and Quanesha Jordan, both of Quitman; his mother, Dorothy J. Roberts; five brothers, John Cooper of Pensacola, Fla., Jason Riley of Saginaw, Mich., Neal Robinson, Jemel Robinson and Marcus Robinson, all of Quitman; and three sisters, Denise Nelson of Saginaw, Dorothy Lynch and Allison Walker, both of Quitman.
    He was preceded in death by a son, Derrick Davis, and his father, J.T. Nelson.
    Visitation will be from Sunday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Berry and Gardner Chapel.
    CHARLIE MAE ANTHONY
    Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Charlie Mae Anthony, 73, of Toomsuba, who died Friday, May 4, 2001, at her home.

    Arrangements were incomplete at James Webb Funeral Home for Robert L. Smith, 57, of Meridian, who died Friday, May 4, 2001, at Riley Hospital.
    PEARLIE Y. GRAHAM
    Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Pearlie Y. Graham, 98, of Meridian, who died Friday, May 4, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
